The brief here was calm rather than dramatic. Glossy handmade-look tile runs across the wet wall and wraps the tub surround, catching the light differently along its length, which is what stops a plain white bathroom from feeling flat.
Brushed brass fittings warm it up, and the shower niche is lined in fluted timber instead of matching tile, giving the room one deliberate point of contrast.
